WebAlert's ChildLine Donations Scheme

When WebAlert began trading in 2002, there were 2 goals

Establish WebAlert as a successful freelance web designing business

and to help raise donations for WebAlert's chosen charity - ChildLine.

" Successful business isn't just about profits, it's about ...... 'doing the right thing' "

WebAlert asks customers to help achieve both, by participating in the charitable donations scheme.

Donations Scheme

WebAlert offers all customers generous discount terms for business recommendations and advance annual payments. Inturn, it is requested that all customers donate a small proportion of these discounts to the nominated charity. Iinvoices contain simple instructions on how to make a donation direct to ChildLine.

ChildLine were pleased to be the nominated charity ....

Comments from ChildLine

ChildLine is the UKs free 24-hour helpline for children and young people facing problems like bullying, exam stress, abuse and family tensions. Our trained counsellors provide comfort, advice & protection, 24 hours a day, every day.

Since our launch in 1986, ChildLine has counselled over 1.5 million children, saved lives, brought abusers to justice and found refuge for children in danger or on the streets. Over 4500 children call ChildLine a day. Due to a lack of funds we can only answer 2500 of these, meaning that 2000 children a day do not get through for the help and support they so desperately need.

Support from companies such as WebAlert is vital to ChildLine, as (unlike many other charities) we rely on the public, business and grant-making trusts for 90% of our income. Although calls to our helpline are free to the children who need us, ChildLine has to pay for these calls and to train volunteers to answer them. Our training for volunteers is second to none. Every year ChildLine helps even more children.

With the support of the public and companies such as WebAlert.info, we are gradually moving closer to our goal of meeting the huge demand for our service and answering every call for help from every child who needs us.

Thank you for your support!
