Both map versions come in a pdf and web graphic format in both colour and black & white, making them simple to print and they can also be easily emailled or faxed to potential customers wanting directions. The graphics are supplied on CD therefore making it easy to send to the printers for any flyers or mailshots you are planning.

The full version also allows for you to add a written set of direction to accompany the graphics eg turn right after the post box opposite the Dog & Duck pub. GBMaps will contact you for any specific landmarks that you need to include. Think of this feature as having your personalised directions that you give customers over the phone in a printable format.

Having a full and complete written set of directions on your website has numerous search engine benefits too. Business Locator Maps are made up of the following components:

Motorway Network Map.
- Showing a zoomed out map of the major 'A' road, Dual Carriageways and Motorways relevant to your location.
Locator Map. Is the main and largest part of the Business Locator Map Package.
- Showing a much more zoomed in map of your area.
- detailed junctions, traffic lights, roundabouts and arrows on the roads to direct customers right to your door.
Detailed Inset Map. If your map requires even more detail, GBmaps will add an inset map to your premises
Transport Information including how to get to your business by: Car, Bus, Tram, Train, Aeroplane, Foot etc.
Contact Details. Incorporate your company logo, address and contact details at the top of the map.

How to Order / What to do next

Your Contract, Terms & Conditions and Payment will be with GBMaps, not WebAlert.

Prices are a 1 off payment to produce the map formats listed above and includes the 1st year
Ordnance Survey licence. Subsequent OS licence renewals are currently £5 per year, payable to GBMaps.
GBMaps will make minor amendments / adjustments (eg a new phone number) to the maps, provided the license payments are paid prior to the renewal dates.
More complex changes may incur a small charge
WebAlert will initially contact GBMaps on your behalf with details of which map you require, your postal and website address details.
A GBMaps designer will then contact you for any specific landmark directions etc and will then produce a draft map for you to proof read.
When your map has been completed, GBMaps will send you a CD with the all the files.
GBMaps will email Webalert a copy of the files required for the website, so that WebAlert can then arrange with your web designer to replace the existing map link on your website.
